My children are my inspiration

My name is Kamran and I am a parent to two wonderful children, Kylo and toddler Zola. My son was born in early lockdown, which meant I spent a lot of time alone with him. Having worked as a nursery assistant, I understood the needs of babies and toddlers and utilised online support and groups to aid me with his development across all areas.

During this time, we engaged in messy (often very messy) play, plenty of fun sensory activities, and I became quite adept at crafting for children—a passion we continue to share. When Zola arrived, I searched for messy and sensory play opportunities locally. While there was some sensory play available, there were no messy play sessions in the area.

This inspired me to begin planning our own messy play sessions. When the only person offering sensory play decided to move on, I seized the opportunity to introduce both sensory and messy play, alongside special events that include older siblings. Through these offerings, families have the chance to play, learn, and have fun together in a supportive and stimulating environment.
